I watched the first season to see more of that guy that played Marlo and was pleasantly surprised to find the guy who played Daniels playing Daniels again.
Good show, I fast forwarded through all the shit with him and his family/female cop. They let out who the killer was a little too quickly imo, so I wouldn't call it "the best police show in years" when True Detective Season 1 exists.

I haven't yet. Bizarrely enough getting the previews before watching the Sopranos for Bosch S2 on Prime is what got me to watch S1.
