what are some films that portray homosexuality as the mental illness that it really is?
bonus points for films that show characters coming to terms with this fact and who change their life for the better.

It's not a mental illness, however leading research points towards it being caused by what hormones you're exposed to in the womb (why a guy is more likely to be gay if he has more older brothers, his mother gets less efficient at producing the right hormone levels) which means it's literally a birth defect which is even funnier.

Batman V Superman
Lex's son is secretly a homosexual hence him putting the cherry candy in that guys mouth, also why he blows up that Asian chick who tries to hit on him a few times in earlier scenes.

there is no satire left, this board became what people originally said as a joke

Pretty much this. It was shortly after /redpill or whatever subboard from Reddit decided that pol and int were their breeding ground (probably during/after GAMERGATE)
Around the same time you got the epic misogony spam (which was one of the most popular subreddits before deletion)
>inb4 you must be reddit to know this.

>intelligence is chiefly influenced by socio-economic status
No, socio economic status is influenced by intelligence. Intelligence is partly genetic but also influenced by parental upbringing.

It isn't mental illness. It's a fucked up chromosome messing with sexuality. It's more of a defect that is very popular in genetic around entire planet with a lot of other animal species. Somethin like having a sight defect or red hair or bald spot. It exist but is a harmless genetic defect.

"Dracula's Daughter" sort of attempted something along those lines.
>The Countess's vampirism is loosely equated to lesbianism(she preys on female victims like her father, only with even less subtle sexual implications)
>she seeks out a male psychologist for help to repress her "urges", only without outright saying the problem is that she's actually a vampire
>eventually she comes to the conclusion that being a lesbia--I mean being an undead vampire-- isn't something you can cure but it's still pretty sinful to even exist like that at all
Not a great flick, it sort of garbles it's own message, but considering they had to settle for a discount James Whale it's not that surprising they went in the direction they did and failed.
