To be honest, family, I really liked the first few episodes of Penny Dreadful that involved Dr. Frankenstein.

Tough call, actually. There has never been a good, faithful adaptation of the novel. Mary Shelly's Frankenstein with Robert fucking Deniro as the monster was a pitiful attempt at this. I prefer the Hammer Frankensteins myself because, despite having nothing to do with the book, they're quite amusing in their own right. Cushing's portrayal of Frankenstein is hilarious.
