i love jacob's ladder it's but sort of less than the sum of its parts. the political commentary aspect never quite gels with spiritual stuff and the gaps in story logic really emphasize that. the ending text was a flat-out bad idea. i also wish the deleted scenes had stayed in.
as powerful as it is, it could have been that much better.
