Pretty much. From what I remember they sort of took a middle ground, Ben Stiller's character was obviously psychotic about fitness but once they oust him and have their gluttonous binge the one camp counselor's all "why don't we actually try and be a LITTLE bit better about eating".
Whereas if the movie were made now it would probably just be all "fat is beautiful no matter what :)"
