If "DUDE NOSTALGIA LMAO" is the only selling point then it's sure to bomb. Jurassic World had nostalgia, but it also had fucking DINOSAURS and StarLord. Jeff Goldblum and aliens destroying shit can't even begin to compete.

JW did great because of dinosaurs, JP respect and it was a decent flick, despite TV's bullshit about it.
Jurassic Park is a respected movie, still. Independence Day isn't. It was a spectacle back then. Huge fucking ships, July 4th release, aliens and all that good stuff.
Nowadays, that's nothing. It's your average movie, thanks to CGI.
