Can't remember the first but 2 ended with a massacre and that German prince disguised as Elizabeth but who couldn't get the voice right. 3 ended with Blackadder taking Prince George's place after George is killed by Wellington. Both of those are ultimately funny.
The end of BGF was straight up sad, they teased with a cunning plan joke right before the end then cut it off to go over the top, which somehow makes it sadder.
