I just finished watching Heat, absolutely loved it.
What are some other bank heist movies that have great shootout scenes?
>>70842613
well reservoir dogs obviously, but it's not a tactical shootout more like a mexican standoff
for a few dollars more?
Fucks me, although when I think of "great shootouts" the film The Way of The Gun (2000) springs to mind
Op if you've only just watched heat then watch thief, same director similar plot, fantastic direction and cinematography. Only slightly weaker than heat overall. It really put michael Mann on the map

The town is OK
>>70843006
Ugh dude cmon. After watching heat that movie is going to feel like an episode of it's always sunny. My recommendation of thief is the only thing that's gonna come close.
>>70842613
nothing comes to close to that heist/shootout.
>>70842613
Heat is the pinnacle of action kino. Nowhere to go but down now OP.

>>70843676

Thanks anons, I'll check them out.
>>70843265
point break
>>70843265
Don't listen to this guy either, Thief is boring as shit.
>>70843758
Baha yeah I'll concede. Point break fits the definition and somehow still holds up. Taking about the original here. The re make bombed for a good reason
>>70842613
I didn't like the ending.
>>70843786
This childs opinion over mine and a 96% positive review rate at rotten tomatoes. Your call op
>>70843902
>cites RT score
Okay retard, refresh my memory on the plot
>guy is a thief
>decides to do his last big score or some shit
>meets a waitress and says "lol let's get married"
>shoots Dennis Farina in his front yard
>credits
Where in that was a good film?
Raising Arizona. God tier bank robbery scene.
>>70842613
Ronin is about a heist, not a bank heist mind you but the car chases are GOAT
>>70843946
The execution and cinematic vision of such. Also you missed the part where a successful man had to suffer the indignity of not being able to reproduce and then have child services deny him the right to adopt because she doesn't like his character. When the man would give anything to be a father. Yeah that part was very fucking kino. Also the vault destruction that was just shit hot
>>70844166
You stupid fucking embryo, he asked for good shoot out movies and you recommend one where a guy has to fight for adoption? Gtfo already.
>>70844204
Yes because heat was totally all bang bang flash bang
>>70843265
You're going to be disappoined. Heat is regarded to have the best shootout, (certainly the most realistic too), in film history.
>>70844330
You replied to the wrong post
have this
>>70844140
ronin is great dadcore.
dont watch triple 9. all the criminals are fuckups and ur surprised they werent all killed earlier
>>70844140
THIS, sexy awoo poster is right.
>>70842613
I've always wanted to post this exact thread. I can't think of any heist movie or just a movie even similar to how good heat is for it's genre. It's almost like the other types of heist films are too hammy and unrealistic.
