Usually Asylum is okay about just pissing in the stuidos direction but never hitting them full on in their face, they've come close a few times though. This one however seems like it fails the "idiot in a hurry" test pretty damn hard and will end up getting them sued.
Honestly I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet.
>Hey anon, the new Independence Day is out!
This fucking thing I keep seeing when looking at flicks to download

Very sure it says "Independents' Day", not "Independence Day".
Asylum'll be fine. They don't have enough money to even warrant a lawsuit.

>This fucking thing I keep seeing when looking at flicks to download
oh this thing must troll the fuck out of people on torrent sites.

Because it's a mockbuster of Independence Day: Resurgence. The subtitle is what's saving them.

Is there another asylum movie this is a sequel to?
I like how the US army issued the soldiers anti-alien badges.

>Very sure it says "Independents' Day", not "Independence Day"
Similar enough and competes in the same market as to cause confusion.

Just like every other Asylum mockbuster. Studios officially don't give a fuck, and everything they produce is so tongue in cheek that they can easily fall back on the parody defense if the going gets tough.

Seriously, if I accidentally download this on kat, I'm going to sue them.
They got away with transmorphers they'll get away with this
>Only a morin in a hurry would confuse the two.
Its similar enough that they're going to get a bunch of morons. This is 'Merica nobody can spell for shit.
