Can people tell me how the counter terrorism movies changed after 9/11???
Is there really a trend or a genre called post 9/11???

>TSiTE remake doesn't include based Ricardo Darin
Such a wasted opportunity
Post-9/11 added a whole lot of anger and cynicism to American mainstream films
Best examples the Dark Knight and Zack Snyder's filmography I guess

Op here. I think you answered my doubts that I couldn't pin down before.
My theory is that after 9/11 we got a lot more movies talking about torturing terrorist suspects and even private lynching.

That too, that's the cynicism and anger. Right wing leaning ideologies ran rampant too, you can see it Michael Bay's films like the Bad Boys II.
There are probably legit essays on it if you search enough.

Iron Man film too
the entire American film industry and art movement changed after 9/11. there's a certain change globally but not as much.

There was a pretty good video essay showing how 24 was basically the ultimate post-9/11 TV show.
Ah yeah, here it is.

Well that is a pretty obvious example, much like LONDON HAS FALLEN and OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN.
Op here. Thanks folks.
I mean I know there are post 9/11 movies but I always thought of Extremely Loud or World Trade Center or Jarhead that kind of movies
Now I see that there is another post 9/11 trend I didn't think of. Thanks.
