Serious question.

Does it actually bother you, or are you just unable to meaningfully connect with people over anything except stuff you really "hate"?

If you actually care, then no, it doesn't bother me. Great CGI can be stunning, but bad CGI makes no difference to me so long as it conveys the scene.

it did tho, it's just it was top notch for its time. But you could tell there was something wrong and no one could put their finger on it. Everyone just thought "amazing, good enough, wow"

Like this >>70665874 it feels like a cg storyboard edit with the movie going "yeah you got this concept right? it's a 'busy city' concept. Computers huh? Amazing. Now let's move on" and no one could really tell why they were emotionally empty or that something was lacking.

forgot about this, considering that attack of the clones (the worst cgi fest ever) came out that same year, the bond cgi is surprisingly good in comparison.

>>the compositing, is atrocious.
nah, the restored ox chestburster scene from the assembly cut wasn't actually that bad considering the cgi was made back in 2002. Now the stop motion alien compositing, that was really atrocious for 1993. Stop motion screentests for Jurassic Park had better quality than the finished Alien3.
>>
>after we spend dollaroos to watch their movies. UNACCEPTABLE

That's why I pirate
>>
>>70667509
Fucking why even CGI this? You could just use a fucking fan and get the same effect but real.
It's not even about being lazy anymore, because using a fan would be cheaper and easier.
>>
>>70667755
Spawn was weird because like half of the CGI was really good and way ahead of it's time, while the other half looked absolutely awful.
>>
>>70670588
He was intentionally warping his face with his stretchy-powers to disguise himself.
>>
The matrix 2-3 absolute hands down worst cgi for any block buster
>>
>>70670628
That's because the good half was done by ILM, and the awful half was done by a smaller independent company after the studio ran out of time and money.

Wrong, it's because they're lazy and can sell simple easy-to-do work to old people who don't even know how to work Microsoft word for insane prices.

>>
>>70672988
Yeah, the movie took a decently cool action scene and made is awkward and clunky. Funny how a game dev can make better action scenes then a movie studio.
>>
>>70667199

That's amazing. Is the entire movie like this?
>>
>>70672815
>better tension
>better camera angels
>better fight choreography

fucking kek, how did they fuck this up so bad when ripping it off in the movie. They can't even rip things of correctly.

It's because america is shit at action. Japs did the RE5 one, that's why the fight choreography and speed feels perfect, and the american one feels hilariously slow and awkward.

Nice orc faces, but holy shit everything else is fucking awful.
It's even worse because this flick was 2 years in post-production.
>>
>>70673283
Fun fact, it's not CGI, they are real sets, it's just those walls are just flat, painted cardboard walls, so it looks really bad.

>>70665874
