Disgraceful that all a director has to do is shoot some mountains or a sunset and you guys are impressed.

Correct.
In which a bear takes a shroom trip among other things.
It really makes you appreciate how great Bart the Bear was, and what a shame it is they have to use CGI bears in movies like The Revenant.

why is spielberg so fucking underappreciated by critics and audiences today
BRIDGE OF SPIES was a masterpiece, his best work since MUNICH, and it's written off as "just another historical drama by spielberg, haha". shit infuriates me
>>70627297
>le Norman Rockwell reference.
Spielberg a shit
>>70627265
How green was my Valley that day, too, green and bright in the sun. How green was my Valley then, and the Valley of them that have gone.

>>70627598
Mathieu Amalric's face in the mirror looks pasted-in.
>>70627713
hm, i don't see it. it does move sort of oddly, but it's not like there's a lot of shots that move that way to compare it to.
Man it's hard to choose a scene but Transformers has so much amazing CGI, all of the shots are nice looking.
>>70627854
like this one
>all these black and white shots
get with the times gramps, we've got colour now
Put the fucking name of the movie in the filename you absolute fucking retarded cunts
>>70627854
I know you're kidding, and obviously those movies are awful, but they do have excellent cinematography. This is probably my favourite shot in the series. The lights flash from one side of the bottles to the next.
>>70628168
Also, notice how the pattern of the bottles are mirrored by the color highlights put on Megan's eyes and her ring. I love how you can see the sun spots and wrinkles on her skin. I normally hate low depth of field but here it works quite nicely, and she's still looks remarkably beautiful.
>>70628120

>>70628374
OK
>>70628343
Nope.
>>70628374
It's really not worth it- they're fucking unwatchable. Bad, bad comic relief, every fucking character in those movies is a comic relief, every moment is overemphasised, everything is tasteless and gaudy, which is not a good thing except sometimes it has some cool visuals not involving the robots.
>>70628448
Too basic of your part. I rejoice in the destructive bravado of Bay, and the hot girls and the cool vehicles. If it's to enjoy dem explosions, this is the man.
>>70628636
I love robots, action, guns, immature humour, and hot bitches- the movies don't give you what you want. You get confusing ugly robots, incomprehensible boring action, unfunny humour that takes up too much time, and pg-13 hot bitches. they fail as low entertainment more than they fail as high art.
>>70628595
sauce?
How didn't anyone post this yet?

I've seen the film few times and I always feel whatever characterization and narrative space he gets is superficial at best/only there for furthering the plot.

>screenshot from the extended cut
Have you even seen the real version?
>>70630607
Why is the guy in the back taking a piss?
There is a two or three second long shot in the movie Dark Star that I always liked. The ship is traveling through space and passes in front of a sun.
It is completely obvious that O'Bannon or Carpenter just pointed the camera at a stage light or something and passed the ship model in front of it but for some reason I always thought that shot was beautiful.
>>70630995
of course
i don't mind the extended cut, though
>>70630902
indeed
>>70631033
I'm going to watch it again to see what I think. I've seen the theatrical probably six times.

Cute supposing. I've seen Lost River, and so I know very well that the occasional prettiness doesn't come close to save the whole mess of all the things Gosling tried to do. He tried a lot, no doubt.
