Are there any movies that actually feature proper hacking?

Die Hard 4? I'm no expert

wasnt it supposedly fairly realistic in the matrix when trinity was hacking the powerplant?? Im not a hacker so i cant say for sure but i seem to remember reading that they went for realism with that.
No because it's incredibly boring in reality
I'm hacking all of you ITT
it's not 100% accurate, but it's certainly more correct than any other movie i've seen.
No
Real hackers are antisocial neckbeards who sit at ftont of computers all day
Not looksatme flamboyant faggots
This scene is realer than real life.

Why is Gibbs so based?

This. It seems like Mann does some research before actually shooting. Shame about basically the rest of everything else in all of this flicks.

>I know this....this is shitposting!

It would have been better if the other two guys also started typing on the keyboard at once.
>>70609284
breddy realistic

Ironically this scene in Jurassic Park is more accurate than most movie hacking because it isn't even hacking. She's just using a GUI she's already familiar with. Her dialogue is cringey because she's fucking 10 years old.
Nedry locking everyone out of the system is somewhat accurate too. They sat around for hours unable to do anything because they didn't have a password.
Sneakers?

Yes
>>70606235
Are you telling me that Jurassic Park didn't have realistic hacking?
>>70609463

not my fault ur a fuckign noob and dnt know shit about hacking
>>70609582
yeah a blind man hacking the telephone system is realistic.
>>70606253
People bitched about this, but then Stuxnet blew critics out of the water. DH4 was simply ahead of its time.

I got really good in the combat and beat an agent one on one in the level where you're running on the roof. you can kick them off.
>mfw Jada Pinkett Smith was actually the one
That one episode of SGA where Rodney tells the guys to go and get a lunch since this is going to take a long time.

IT Security consultant here. I did some penetration testing back in the day.
Best example is The Social Network. The opening scenes where he hacks the college are bang on, down to every detail.
Matrix Reloaded is legit. Trinity using Nmap is pretty rad.
Also, Jurassic Park is OK-ish - that 3D file system is a real thing.
BvS Dawn of Justice. When Batman hacks the Russians phone - that's reasonably legit too. I specialise in wireless security.
Movie wise that's all I know. I haven't seen Blackhat.
As for tv - Mr Robot is very accurate in every detail. However all his hacks happen about fifty times faster and fifty times more reliably than in real life.

Mr. Robot most theoretically accurate I've seen...even his character has lost the will to live...very accurate
Maybe wargames
