Just bought this DVD: what's the deal with the flashes of light throughout the entire concert?
Is David Lynch aware with how seizure inducing watching this is?
I like the moving car imagery during one of the songs and the literal "girls on film" flashes during the girls on film song (being relevant to the subject with symbolistic undertones), but seriously: Lynch really overused a lot of overlapping images and flashing lights.

As a Lynch fan, it's pretty cool to see some resemblance to his previous work, whereas like you said, any fans of Duran Duran who have no idea about Lynch would have all been like "wtf is this shit"
