Watched this last night.
Must've benefited from an audience because I didn't laugh more than a few times throughout the entire movie.
It felt like they cut 30 minutes that would've wrapped up the other characters. As it stands, they all were there to serve Brolin's character, who was admittedly good. Clooney was also good.
It was just super anti-climactic. Didn't have enough laughs or music or anything, really. Probably my least favorite Coen bros film.

I can't identify with this at all.
The dialogue, the audio cues, the theology, the Marxism/Capitalism, the profane vs. the sacred.. this work is fucking DENSE, and it's got serious bite.
Seen it 5+ time now and it pays off more each time.

I watched it in the cinema and there weren't many laughs there either. It had potential and there were some great moments but it just gets dragged down by all the fucking characters and not enough resolution. I can't imagine Scarlett Johansson's character making the final cut if it wasn't Scarlett Johansson playing her.
