my local movie store shut down a week ago so I haven't bought anything since then but I usually haul around a dozen movies a week, sometimes up to 50 if I'm hitting thrift stores for VHS tapes

Theater - very rare. For $20, $45 if my wife and I take the kids, I'd rather just wait for home release.
Purchases - I have around 1700 dvd/blu-rays. I'm a major Black Friday shopper. I rarely buy new releases unless it's a can't wait title, like Star Wars or Jurassic Park.
It just isn't worth going to the theater for my family.

I have so many that we put them in those 250 disc storage cases and store the movie cases in the attic. We only keep bluray, tv shows, and disney in the original cases, so my shelves aren't that impressive. I have 3 storage cabinets for those, so maybe a little under half OP's picture.
Probably see about one movie a month in theaters. Buy maybe three movies a year, I like to keep my collection small. Just stream anything else.
