The Matrix is one of those movies I haven't seen in a long time that I prefer not watch again even though I really liked it. I feel like it wouldn't have aged well, and I don't want to ruin the memory of it.
>Hallelujah. You're my savior, man. My own personal Jesus Christ.
>>70574875
My favorite parts of the Matrix movies were the mtv dance party scenes. They really added depth to the universe and made it feel alive.
>>70576006
The original holds up great. Stay far away from the sequels

>>70576250
Agreed. The sequels may pale a bit compared to the first, but by any reasonable scale they're great scifi action movies.
>>70577209
They lack good writing is what
>>70577592
and good direction, and good editing, and good , and good production...
>>70576006
Only the CGI at the end when Smith blows up has aged. Otherwise the whole movie is still solid.
>>70576678
I don't hate them. I enjoyed parts of them, but don't kid yourself: the 1st one is the best one and the only truly consistently good one.
>>70576053
who's the demon seamstress on the right?
>>70576619
He represented desire
they left him alone in the upper room, they should have kept an eye on him, that's why he had to die
>>70577668
You forgot one of your points there buddy
Matrix 2 was fucking rad it was the Mission Impossible 2 of the Matrix trilogy and it was pure gold

Honestly literally factually objectively one of the best action movie scenes ever.
>>70577691
if you pay attention, the original matrix is a mostly green movie.
a great idea for masking special effects is to make your movie mostly green
>>70576006
Watch it again Anon, it's aged perfectly fine, and you'll appreciate it more with age.
>>70576053
Looking back, it's obvious the Wachowskis were hacks who got lucky off one really good action film
>>70579147
Fuck off Mr Lizard
>>70579235
That's the Blu-Ray, the original doesn't have that awful filter.

That was just the Wachowski sisters pushing their degeneracy on us.

>not falling in love with Carrie Moss all over again
>tfw this was the T2 of our generation
Until i discovered the Hongkong action cinema of the 80s.
I mean T2 is a milestone in action cinema that probbaly will never be surpassed, but seeing the shit that John Woo, the REAL John Woo before he got cucked by Hollywood jews did, in the 80s is another league.
The Hongkong flicks of that time are STILL lightyears ahead of anything the west has ever put on screen. Action-wise, ofc.
