Also, his wife is producer of most of his movies and spends time with him on set, so he can't exactly say "yeah uh, we're going to have Scarlett Johansson strip naked in this scene and uh i think we need to take several takes", his wife would probably flip.
But yeah all of his movies are critically acclaimed and without any sex scenes so i think that says a lot about how good he is.
