What was good about it? I love Irreversible and EtV is one of my all-time favorites (I Stand Alone I can take or leave) but Love just felt very directionless. The dramatic elements were already done in EtV and the sex stopped really being interesting after a couple of minutes.

I thought it was a good character piece of an ambitious boy with no actual skill or work ethic. It is very autobiographic in many ways.
A lot of scenes are very vivid and potent and stay with you for a while, for me I loved the scene where he knocks and screams in front of that girls door, and when you see that dealer friend in her apartment just sitting there was very well made. Another scene I liked was the one where you see how the two met in that part, it's all very innocent and sincere. I think they captured paris was very good, it felt personal and real, not stereotypical and bland.
I find it also admiring that the sex scenes were very explicit and graphical, but they weren't pornographic or tasteless.
