but the fact that he can influence events ruins it because that position should only be held by a being that is capable of being purely objective, which Brann is clearly not

when Brann becomes strong enough, why not just go back in time and prevent his father from being killed or even prevent that boar from spearing baratheon, or Leaf from making the Night's King?
