I want to hate it but I can't. This is seriously a good horror film. Solid 8/10.
Also I almost forgot how hot Winstead are.

yeah if you cut the last 10 minutes completely, it is definitely a solid 7.5/10. with the ending, its about a 3

what is with people never wanting to admit a movie they like is horror?

Generic ending but I don't think it was that bad. Felt like a comedy horror when acidized Goodman started churning out cliche bad guy lines tho.
It's a cloverfield movie, we already know about the aliens it would have been dumb to make a cloverfield without aliens. The ending would have been aweful if it was trying to make you wonder who was telling the truth when there's a first film where you see the aliens and you see people getting infected.

>muh PG-13 "horror" films
Yeah, go back to watching Prom Night remake

Cloverfield was not horror at all though, and I'm the kind of guy who watches horror films with the lights turned on and turn the sound down.
There was absolutely nothing in the movie that got me slightly scared.

the thing is it shouldnt have been a cloverfield movie. it was tied in with cloverfield by the producers for marketing and revenue purposes, thats why its fucking awful. its the most tacked on piece of shit ive seen

I thought it was a good middleground between hollywood's boner for franchises and the cinema goer's thirst for original work. An original movie tied with a franchise during the last 10 minutes

You are either very fucking retarded or 10 years old.
