I generally loathe found footage horror movies, or found footage in general. But the found footage parts of End of Watch were great, as was the ordinarily filmed ones.
Regarding horror though? I've only seen 'As Above So Below' and I quite liked that one. But in general horror is a fucking shitty genre.

Those 6 are the only FFFs that I would call really great, though some of them are not even "pure" FF.
These are also decent: Creep, Det okända., Grave Encounters, Banshee Chapter, Trolljegeren, Det okända, Cloverfield, etc.
Generally, FFF is a horror trend that I find somewhat... degenerate. What happens to old school movie making? With FFF its mostly shaky cam, characters screaming into the camera, blink and miss horror moments... Generally very few movies make most of the premise and most of them just end up being really cheep.

There's not any unintentional humour. And people that praise it so highly, certainly aren't doing so because of the 'big reveal', twist, or jump scare. The whole movie, with uncommon coherence, achieves things that the rest of the pack- of found footage or not-, doesn't come close to do.
It is a horror film and FF, but it's very much, and possibly mainly, a drama. It's little surprise the rejection of so many 'horror buffs' to a film like that.
