Thoughts on this movie?
It's pretty fun but the pacing makes it pretty jarring. Not QT's best.

Frankly, he's way better than I thought he'd be. I wasn't expecting him to be very good. I've never respected him as an actor up until this, though granted, I never saw Ray, which is supposed to be one of his better roles.
I still think that some of the delivery on his lines aren't as good as they could've been, but he was overall fantastic anyhow, and still basically killed it.

Not sure if sarcasm but honestly, I'm not sure if Will Smith could've done it. I don't respect Will that much as an actor, though I love him (more like 90's-early 00's era Will), I don't think he's had too many good roles in movies. For what the role required, I'm not sure if Will could've done it. That said, he's an idiot for turning it down anyway.

Was indeed sarcasm. I was rather happy with Jamie Foxx. Maybe not all his scenes were masterpieces but overall it was a very solid performance. Also I had no idea Will Smith turned that role down. I don't think him very seriously, but really turning down a role like that is retarded.

Yeah, Will Smith turned down this role, because it wasn't "big enough" or something and he felt like Django wasn't really the main character. So yeah, basically an idiotic reason to turn it down. Between this and The Matrix, Will is probably hitting himself pretty hard.

Fast and furious are very selfaware and are like adults doing a reenactment of how we played with our toys back when we were kids, smashing our cars together going "vroom vroom". Transformers are like your drunk uncle stealing and breaking your robot toys, while having them act out very inappropriate stupid, sexual, absurd situations, thereby ruining it for everyone.

Loved it. Funny, sad, action packed, great acting, Waltz was amazing, Brilliantly shot.
Not Quentins best movie imho but it comes close.
Why is it even a Django movie if the entire character of Django is completely changed from the original?
