So I'm getting together with this kind of nerd/film group where there are some girls and I don't want to look too patrician (people will assume I'm just pretending or a douche - pic related).
So how can I "pleb-up" when they ask me my favorite movies?
I was thinking I will go with Nolan, Iñárritu, Spielberg and all the usual crowd, maybe put a mainstream european movie like Amelie.

This might be some weird bait or joke but if not then don't pretend, just tell them what films you actually like. I was always honest about what I liked and thanks to that not only I inspired other people to look into more arthouse shit but others become more open about liking it too.
