Rotten Tomatoes is a shitty website on which people can only put up 2 kinds of reviews: "amazing" or "godawful". Since 99% of the movies made don't fit into those categories and you can have a good but still deeply flawed movie or a bad movie but with nice redeeming features, RT is completely irrelevant and shouldn't be held as a standard of quality reviews.

If a review says it was good it gets a plus in the positives checkbox, if the review is either average or bad it gets a negative checkbox. Most reviewers are saying the movie was fine, nothing amazing, but fine and perfectly watchable. This average review actually gives a it a negative score, the tally MUST to go one way or the other, so average reviews are not seen as positive. This is why RT is fucking cancer.
I have not found a single reviewer saying the movie was a mess like this is implying, its always "It was alright".
Also how the fuck is Civil War that high, It was boring for most of the movie with one good scene. Everything about it screams "average", the music, cinematography, plot(which has holes in it) was all middle of the road, but here its shown as a near perfect movie.
