What horror movies have you seen recently? What horror movies are you excited about seeing?
Starting with a few Ive seen recently…
>Kristy (2014)
Saw this last night. One of the better slasher movies in recent memory. Ending could have been stronger but overall I enjoyed this one quite a bit.
>We Are Still Here (2015)
Also enjoyed this one. Ive disliked most of the art house/indie horror Ive seen recently, but this movie actually managed to do slow burn horror well.
>Bride of Re-Animator (1990)
This was really disappointing to me. I love the first Re-Animator but had never seen the sequels so decided to give it a watch. The story is mediocre, some of the acting is horrendous, its dull, and just feels cheap. Combs is great though.
>The Gate (1987)
Underrated 80s horror that I saw a few weeks ago. Some scenes, such as the opening, are quite creepy. But overall it does feel like a mash-up of other, much better, 80s movies.
now some upcoming ones Im looking forward too...
February (also known as The Blackcoat's Daughter)
>Set at an all girls boarding school, February tells the story of two women bound together by a series of sinister events.
Starring Emma Roberts, Kiernan Shipka
This is the most recent I've seen, it was a nice little low budget psychological horror, very moody and surprisingly kinda touching
Don't Breathe
>A trio of reckless thieves breaks into the house of a wealthy blind man, thinking they'll get away with the perfect heist. They're wrong.
Starring Jane Levy, Stephen Lang
Lights Out
>A woman is haunted by a creature that only appears when the lights go out.
Starring Teresa Palmer, Maria Bello
