I didn't have the maturity to work out that I should not watch it. The family put it on, everyone watching it, I felt like it was something I had to do.
But all the bullshit violence Kevin laid upon Harry and Marv really upset me. Especially that wicked trick they pulled when Marv got shocked in Home Alone 2, and the brief flash of his skeleton tricked kids into momentarily thinking Marv got his skin burnt off and was dead.
That fucking horrified me but I still sat there not having the capacity at the time to say fuck this, and walk away.

But watching it opening night with the cackling crowd laughing at every horrible joke and clapping. I have never felt more alone or out of place in my life. Maybe not the worst in terms of production, but The Tin Drum/Die Blechtrommel still make me feel queasy just thinking about it.
We were forced to watch it in our German Language Studies for some reason. Most unpleasant experience watching a movie I've ever had. Doesn't help that it was in a language a barely understood and could only really go by the pictures most of the time.
