I can't fucking stand this movie yet everyone seems to love it.
>boring
>wooden acting
>molasses tier pacing
>unlikable characters
Literally the only good thing about this movie is the atmosphere and the cyber punk setting. Is this seriously 2deep4me because I can't even pretend to like this movie.

No, it's just fucking boring as fuck.
And I manage to sit through Tartovsky and other art house flicks.

Tried watching it at 17, had to stop it, could hardly get through the part where the guy is in the cryogenic area, had to stop
Tried watching it at 19, had to stop at the ramen noodles shop
Tried watching it at 21, it was one of the greatest movie experiences I've ever had the chance to witness and is now my third or fourth favorite ever. I know many people who watched it again later and it suddenly clicked.

>the only good thing about this movie is the atmosphere and the cyber punk setting
which is why it has always been a cult sci-fi movie, nothing else (until it became a meme to like it)
emphasis on the sci-fi: blade runner is to cyberpunk what mad max 2 is to post-apocalyptic
I can't be the only one that thought this movie was going to be cool action movie like Terminator or Indiana Jones when I first rented it. It's got all the right ingredients but instead I got a kino.

>ever being disappointed by kino
kill yourself pleb

This exactly. First time I watched it I watched a couple years ago I watched the long version directors whatever, hated it
Watched the theatrical a month ago, what you said. 4th favorite movie now, absolutely loved it

Terminator is very different than Indian jones

/tv/ - the only place where someone will complain when they experience kino
