the big difference no one seems to be pointing out is that Clarkson, Hammond and May's show was conceived, written, and to some extent, produced by them. Clarkson wrote all the scripts, he and Andy Wilman made up all the segments.
This new show is half recycled old bits and half stuff made up by producers and writers and spoon fed to the hosts.
