I like it. The show centers more on Gordon and Bullock. It's pretty much a detective show how Batman villains started off.

Bruce is already a teen in this series, he's gonna be Batman in like ten years tops. Selina and Ivy are around his age, Scarecrow and Jerome (if he turns out to be the Joker, which I'd be fine with) aren't too far off. Penguin's age is fine, it suits him to be older than Batman. Freeze and Nygma could stand to be younger, but they can still work as they are.
I think Dent is the only major villain whose age is an issue, he definitely should be closer to Bruce.

But Bane has to be roughly Bruce's age, and Dent not much older.

If they had any semblance of intelligence then the Venom super steroids is something they would retcon out of any live action depiction of Bane. IT only incites the possibility of another rendition of the horribly executed Bane from the George Clooney Batman film.

We already had series with a younger Batman, and Mazouz is aging fast. If the show makes to Season 4/5, they can easily do Batman.
The issue is with WB showrunners, who thinks the audience is too retarded to understand that the Batman on TV and the Batman in the cinema are different universes.

I'll be fine with it if they remove the "Jerome" identity completely.
Imagine this: an episode starts with Harvey informing Gordon that a body of Jerome Valeska was found. "Wasn't he killed by Galavan last year?" - asks Gordon. Turns out that the real Jerome the clown kid was killed by the unnamed Maniac all along, who usurped his identity and killed the mother, who was the only one able to identify that he wasn't her son. The Maniac, who apparently have been killing people and stealing their ID before, becomes the new Red Hood for a while, before an eventual confrontation with Bruce leaves him with the classic Joker origin story.
