I have a three episode rule.
If I'm not interesting in the show after 3 episodes, the I know I won't be interested in the rest.
I implore everyone to watch a show for at least 3 episodes before deciding to finish it or not.
I watched 2 seasons of game of faggots and my friends still tell me I need to keep watching. I can't believe I wasted all that time watching that garbage show and even worse them having the audacity to tell me I need to keep giving it a chance.

It's similar for me, but I don't force myself to watch 3 episodes. If I know I'm definitely not interested after the first episode (e.g. The 100), then I probably just don't like the premise of the series, even if it's a well produced show.
If I even get to 3 episodes it normally means I like the show.
