I think James Bond should be the next Bond.

You mean that classic Bond hairline from the books?
Shitty, wooden, "actor".

>>70098637
At least he's not black.
i think someone with charisma should be the next Bond
a bald Bond is juist not acceptable. he has to be attractive to women.
I'm just happy i dont ever have to see Craigs fucking face again
>>70098342
I actually really liked him in The man named Uncle but he suffer from the same issue as Craig, he has anti charisma
He just wont work for Bond

Let's just agree that Daniel Craig wasn't playing James Bond, but a British Jason Bourne instead.

Cavill would be a classy and muscular bond that actually looks like Bond too. Craig was just muscular, and didn't look like Bond. He acted okay as him though, but Cavill would ultimately be a better Bond overall.
>>70101794
The worst thing about these threads is its full of people who have only started following Bond in the past few years
If they had been following Bond for any amount of time they would know that when Craig was cast there was a HUGE out lash over casting not only a manlet Bond but a BLONDE one
>>70101733

It was so well received but it was such a dramatic departure from the slightly cheesy Bond movies that dated back not only to all the Brosnan movies but the Dalton and even the Moore movies.

I'm not one of those people who's going to say Goldeneye is only good because of nostalgia, but it is hard to separate how iconic the opening is when everyone here has probably played through it 1000 times on N64.
>>70102698
This
Brosnan had an underrated run as Bond
GoldenEye is an all time great Bond film
and TWNE and TND are criminally underrated
Only Bond movies worth watching:
Dr. No
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
The Living Daylights
License To Kill
GoldenEye
Tomorrow Never Dies
The World is Not Enough
Casino Royale
Quantum of Solace
Skyfall
Spectre
>>70102598
Casino Royale will never be iconic, in 20 years it will be a footnote alongside Diamonds Are Forever and Octopussy

>>70103032
That's true
>>70103197
I have no reason to debate which is better, both of them are among the best in the entire franchise.
and considering how almost half of the franchise is shit, I'll take as many good movies as it can put out.
I'm not >>70102138 this guy btw.
I don't go into a Bond movie looking for a Bond movie because a lot of this franchise is shit (Die Another Day, A View to a Kill, Moonranker, etc.)
I don't keep an arbitrary definition of what Bond is and what a Bond film should be. In my opinion, that's the wrong way to go about it. You should look for a complelling story, interesting characters, and films with emotional weight (i.e. a Good Movie) rather than a just a James Bond movie.
That's how films get stale and furture movies become lazy rehashes and cash grabs.
>>70103521
How about the James Bond atmosphere as well as interesting characters and emotional weight. To be a good Bond movie all 3 of those are needed. Any Bond movie with these 3 things is probably a good movie as well. I think Craig could pull this off nicely.

Watch The Night Manager. Not quite action packed, but he's essentially a suave spy who fucks every woman he meets. Really good miniseries.
Disagree with you about Cavill though. There are certainly worse actors. Only time he's been legitimately bad was as Superman, and that's only because he took the Christopher Reeve impression route. Even Christian Bale magically couldn't act for shit when it came to capeshit.

Mission: Impossible I can see, but Kingsman drifted toward edgy too often to be any fun. Mark Millar always does that shit, and even Vaughn toning it down still isn't quite enough.
>Spectre is good
Time to stop talking about Bond
>>70107186
it was a good movie based around a bad twist.
The pacing is fantastic however for a almost 3 hour ride.
It felt like a fever dream of Bond's worst fears coming true.
>>70107186
All you needed to do to make it watchable was omit the "MI6 is gonna be shut down!" lines (as it was getting merged with C's division anyway), shave off the shitty gags, remove the bad lines, and replace the title sequence song with literally anything.
I watched the Redacted fanedit a couple of days ago and actually really liked Spectre that time. It was almost worth watching. Even the whole "Bond was Blofeld's adopted brother" shit managed to seem a little less retarded.
>>70107285
So you're saying all you need to do is change the entire film and it'll be good?
>>70098342
quite a bald statement OP
>>70107280
Beautiful shots too. I loved the funeral scene.
>>70107320
The fanedit I mentioned only had to cut eight minutes of footage. Eight minutes.
>>70107367
Look you're just lying
The film was TERRIBLE
Either you have awful taste or you're just pretending
>>70107388
Why would I lie? 8 minutes shaved off the worst shit in the movie (at least what was unavoidable, shooting the helicopter with a fucking walther, for example, was unfortunately too important) and actually made it watchable.
I'd even say it made it good. This isn't bad taste talking. I watched the theatrical Spectre once and regretted it. It was particularly disappointing because it was almost good until it farted and shat everywhere.
>>70107493
>I'd even say it made it good
Just stop, the film was awful, it wasn't bad because of 8 minutes of footage it was bad because it had awful acting, awful set pieces, awful music, awful locations and awful CGI
It was just bad
>>70107388
can you state why? you're just spouting about how it's bad and not backing up your claims.
>>70107565
You're clearly mad and have no desire to listen to anything resembling reason. Your hate is essentially fanatical as well. You hate Spectre so much you don't even want it to be good. Even if you had the power to magically turn it into a masterpiece, you'd just go on hating it instead.
I'd go so far to say you love hating it this much. In your own scathing way, you love Spectre, anon.
I just want a sequel to Man From Uncle
>>70107656
I'm being realistic and not giving the film a pass based on the fact is has le Craig in it like you clearly are
It has by far the worst Bond theme of all time, the acting was average at best
>>70107565
>it had awful acting
no
>awful set pieces
The plane was great fun.
>awful music
no
>awful locations
no
>awful CGI
no
>>70107730
>The plane was great fun.
>The music wasn't awful
>The CGI wasn't awful
You're just trolling
>>70107773
you're just picking things at random and calling them awful because you want to hate it.
>>70107894
>At random
Did we even watch the same film?
The opening theme is by far the worst Bond theme of all time and the CGI looks like its from fucking a decade ago
>>70107972
>The opening theme is by far the worst Bond theme of all time
Only thing you said that wasn't peppered with slobbering lunacy. You're somehow making people want to like Spectre with your illogical spouting.
>>70107972
>single frame showing the plane in mid-crash
You sure convinced me
>>70108085
>>70108121
>look im pretending to not notice how bad the CGI is
>>70107972
nice low-res screen shot.
>>70107972
CGI is only bad when you notice it, and I sure as hell didn't.
Spectre's problems were story related, visually it was fine.
>>70101307
rogaine only works on the crown I think
He needs to look like Bond when holding a gun in this case he does not.
>>70098342
Michael Fassbender said he wants to take him back to his soldier days.
>>70108904
Yes because he was in a movie that was not called James Bond.
>>70108904
He isn't playing Bond here.
>>70109104
fund it.
I just saw the new X-Men and his performance was fantastic.
Why don't they just make every future bond film a period piece? Why is there some unwritten rule that it has to take place in the modern day?
>>70109505
because we have about 15 films already based in those periods.
it's time to move on.
