Personally not a fan. Im not a fan of his writing style, the lyrics and slant rhymes and uninspired story. It's just not made for me, I guess.
Then again, I'm not a fan of musicals. They're are better ones, though. The unfortunates is a far superior musical using a similar style.

All my friends listen to the album. I've never listened to it because I don't want to hear the music divorced from the context of the show as my introduction, but I've heard some of it and the music was pretty good.
