Wouldnt it be smarter to have someone that DIDNT have a family into the wormhole?
Also why didnt the black dude go on the mission when they had robots on board that could record all the data?

The movie was pretty shit desu
Really you could poke holes in just about everything plot-wise. It was a mess
>>69851609
why are you on this board cunt
i cant fault this movie
>>69851634
Because I like movies
Interstellar was just not a good one
It wasn't a movie. It was an experience
Who brought Cooper to behind the bookcase the first time if it was actually himself
>>69851537
They were out of qualified astronauts due to them not officially even existing
Black dude stayed back to research the black hole
>>69851609
Daily reminder that if interstellar doesn't make sense to you, you need to listen to the dialogue or turn subtitles on or stop being retarded
>>69851537
He was the only one with previous experience and was conveniently on hand. Which really isn't all that convenient, considering that his future self directed him to where he was meant to be. Also, him having a family gave him more character motivation to do this as well.
People criticize and misinterpret this as "The human race was saved through the 'power of love' bullshit." When in reality it "He saved the human race through his suffering, BECAUSE he loved his family."
Also Robots can't do science and and theory in this films continuity, they are really just glorified Siri- like systems/UI.

>listen to the dialogue
pretty hard to when the music is drowning everything else out. I have no idea how somebody approved the sound editing on this movie.

>muh plot holes
reddit: the criticism
cooper wasn't on the mission in the original timeline. In the original timeline, brand goes straight to edmund's planet (because love) and they repopulate (the artificial wombs don't work, but the pregnancy accelerators do, so brand gives birth once a month for the rest of her life). Because they live near a black hole, they unlock all it's secrets, figure out the love/gravity/time manipulation shit, but far too late to help earth. So they try (and fail) to send messages detailing all that to earth (failing because no love) and eventually realize they need two people in love (cooper ends up fucking the shit out of lolimurph because electra complex) so they manipulate him into looping himself into a new timeline where everyone on earth doesn't just fucking die.

What a load of horseshit. Where did you get this from?
>>69853910
the existence of an unaltered timeline is implied any time a work of fiction takes place in an altered timeline
>>69854000
But it's not an altered timeline. It's a loop.
>Cooper goes back in time and relays messages to himself and his daughter
>His daughter saves humanity and allows humanity to spread out into space
>Humanity evolves into the Bulk beings however long in the future
>They create the wormhole allowing Cooper to leave the Solar system
>They create the black hole and the 4th dimensional construct allowing Cooper to travel backwards in time
>Cooper goes back in time and relays messages to himself and his daughter

timeloops can't come into existence without outside influence
outside influence is painstakingly established
>>69854387
Where does it say that in the movie?
