i was amazed by the great visuals the first time i watched pacific rim.

Felt the same about the Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises, except I only thought the first was 'great', Rises was just alright and was laughable the second time.
Batman Begins, however, I thought was average the first time and just keeps getting better.
