This movie came out before I was born but I think the soundtrack is perfect. Blackhat needed a song like Heartbeat for the sex scene in the penthouse overlooking the city.

My favorite cut is the 131 minute fan-edit composite cut that pieces together the four different commercial cuts, but that is rough because it necessarily dips in quality for a couple of scenes.

No clue, but I'll order it and be pissed off by it cutting out scenes like I have been with all the other versions of the film I own. Like you were saying the composite Leonenut cut is the only way to truly watch it. If only the scenes would be released in high quality so it could be recut, probably never gonna happen though.

It looks like there is the 120 minute Theatrical Cut in HD, and then a 124 minute "Director's Cut" that is in HD except for the extra 4 minutes which are in SD.
So someone will have to remake the 131 minute fan edit with Blu-Ray quality and it will still have quality dips. Shit.
