When people were (rightfully) bitching about The Hobbit, I thought that it was the wrong project (so CGI and effects heavy) to be a real test of what the tech could be good for and wished they had used it on something like Zero Dark Thirty.
And now we get to see it in effect with a modern war film.

It's Oscar b8. They'll ramp up the promotion closer to awards season.
I don't know if any cinemas except specialty ones in L.A and New York for the critics will be set up for it. It's apparently not just 120fps, but varied frame rates.
Also 3D. I hate 3D. I hope they have a HFR release without the 3D.
