Throw at me some decent chinese/japanese periodical action films. Things like Samurai movies, Jackie Chan's Dragon Blade, etc.
Ran

Last samurai if your up for that kinda thing

Red Cliff

Watched the Last Samurai, was pretty decent I guess. Kurosawa is the guy who made Seven Samurai, right?
Heaven and earth

Anything by Kurosawa can't get wrong with that.
Ran
This one too
Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai
Rurôni Kenshin if you want some action
13 Assassins
The Twilight Samurai pretty good samurai drama
Kagemusha
13 assassins (2010, Miike) is good fun. Kinda slow build but the climax is excellent.

Yeah, great movie!
I have the extended version (which is Japanese language only), but can't find any subtitles for it yet.
Sucks because the extended version has extended battle scenes.

>>69619564
>eating chinese

Samurai X, only anímékîńö in existence

After The Rain

>13 Assassins
This. It's quite recent so it's good entry level to ease you into things before you dive into Yojimbo and the like.

Jet Li's Fearless
Not only are the action scenes some of the best in cinematic history but the story is genuinely compelling as well.
Hero is also good if you can stomach some over the top wuxia
I watched Sword of Doom recently and it's pretty cool, it portrays a samurai who instead of being honorable is a psycho motherfucker who doesn't gives a shit and kills everything in his way.
Lady Snowblood it's pretty good too if you're don't mind a more B movie approach.

Sure, B Movies are great. I'l try that!
I'm less into psycho motherfuckers but I'll give Sword of Doom a shot as well
