Why was anime in Kill Bill
Smash Nash was probably the worst Cuckatino movie.

KEK
Because it was awesome, and it fit. He effortlessly traversed and combined genres and aesthetics, anime being one. It was a strange, gruesome story, told poetically through animation. Kill Bill is GOAT tier Tarantino.
>Hurt Bert
>A good movie

those scenes would have looked like shit if they'd been done live action.
Kill Bill is Tarantino's remake of Lady Snowblood and in that film there is a scene with drawings, he just made it anime instead.
Because it was the back story of Oren Ishii, and Oren is japanese so it only makes sense to make it in anime-style.
It was fantastic imo.
KB is a fun aesthetic spectacle. He did it for fun.
Watched this recently after not seeing it in a long time. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Tarantino may have his flaws but god damn can he make a stylish as fuck film, just that perfect combination of picture and music.

GOAT ending, gives me chills: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_HFbdv8SE4
Vol. 2 just doesn't really hold up to the first though which is a shame.

>Vol. 2 just doesn't really hold up to the first though which is a shame.
what?
Vol. 2 actually has characters in it, it's not a memefilm like Vol. 1
though to be fair they were meant to be seen as one movie
>Now I have become Kill Bill vol. 2
I thought dialog is supposed to be good.
Michael Jay White had an scene but he got deleted in the final cut, only aviable as an extra in the DVD,
Poor chap.

It might sound plebish but I kinda enjoyed Vol. 1's lack of character depth. It was fast paced and fun. Judge me as you wish..
I thought Bill was a much more fearsome and intelligent seeming character in the first than in the second. Bill wasn't really the final boss type guy that the first movie made him out to be.
Destroy Roy was awful. Only good thing was the music.

I used to think Charlie (from Charlies Angels) must be a bad mo-fo too, until I realized he did fucking nothing in the entire series.
Bill was the same. He ordered other people around while sitting on his ass. He never did anything that would lead us to believe he was any type of badass, He had charisma tho which allowed him to amass a small army of viciously loyal bodyguards.
He was basically a less racist version of Charles Manson.

Quentin is good at picking music.

Because japan far far away is actually hell
You people still talk about Slay Dave? Yikes.
>>69299289
Hang Chang Vol. 2 was better.
>>69306364
This. Erase Chase is easily his worst film.
I think Tarantula just wanted to see if he could get away with it. Like having the Klingon quote in the start too.
Shoot Jude? it was just cinéma terrible.
>>69307540
Yeah, I think End Ben is just supposed to be fun.
I liked Bury Terry. It's a photograph of its era.
>>69299289
Are their actually anime's that graphic still out there that anyone can recommend? I don't watch anime but that shit was pretty good.
>>69307776
There's a bunch of shitty over the top anime like that
just watch hellsing or something, maybe madbull 34
or just watch One Punch Man
I worked at a theater when Cancel Hansel came out. You could tell who was going to buy a ticket for it.
>>69299289
Oh hell yes! A Nix Rick thread!
Void Boyd? Not a fan.
The hotel hallway scene alone renders Make-him-a-Goner Connor worth a watch.
>>69299289
Destroy Leroy was some good blaxploitation desu.
>>69307776
Blood+ was the most recent one I can think of.
Why does everything have to be turned into a meme and run into the ground?
Are you all twelve?

I happen to like Slay Tray, thank you very much.
