Hm, I'd have to go with the 40's, although pretty much every decade has its fair share of comfy films.

because the 80s have a bit of everything in them some retro 60s style stuff, some leftover 70s scripts and at the end some end red pilled stuff predicting the world of today
The 60's and the 80's, without a doubt.
People were just doing innovative and entertaining things in those decades, and many films from those times just have a particular feel to them.
I grew up in the 90's, but despite the nostalgia factor 90's movies just aren't comfy.
I'd also include some 50's science fiction B movies, but that's just personal preference.

80s is the comfiest but 70s is the overall best.

Twister is prime comfy, but mostly the later half of the decade films had a 00's feel, which is distinctly un-comfy.

1994 and a few years up and down were comfy 90's, but for the most part it was a transitional decade between the 80's and pig disgusting aughts.
Prime loli Elijah Wood was pretty comfy (Radio Flyer, Forever Young, Huck Finn).
80's has the comfiest movies by far.
that soft glowy vibe 80's fantasy movies have puts me right in a comfy mood and sometimes puts me to sleep (in a good way)

The 80's.
Communism was falling, the Cold War was wrapping up. Everything was for sale. The drugs were plentiful, the women were dolled up and beautiful. America and Japan were the kings for the world.
The one where you were 14yo in.

Forties has the comfiest films, nineties has the comfiest TV shows
