This sort of overdesigned, childish fantasy armor is not acceptable for any audience that hasn't played the games. It does not look like armor. People played the games in spite of the hideous art direction, not because of it.
Warcraft is the absolute pinnacle of hyper-derivative fantasy garbage. There is nothing appealing about the setting, characters, or stories. The only appeal it has is that it is a fantasy setting, so stupid people who "like fantasy" will like it solely because it is a boilerplate fantasy setting with nothing new and nothing uncomfortable, so they feel as if they are supposed to like it.
People who don't define and pigeonhole themselves as "people who like fantasy" will not want to watch this movie.
