The sony 2004 DVD release is amazing. The transfer is perfect and has the correct aspect ratio and japanese audio as well as the dub track.
Its long out of print though gotta look on ebay for it.

I'm overthinking it, bro. Since the bones can't move on their own, the reinforcements and pivots they would need to put into the machine for the sake of rendering them and the machine as a whole 'mobile' would be needlessly more expensive than an alternative version. Unless there's some argument to be made for the bones needing to be there to give it some weight / establish a center of gravity, but they're Japanese, for fuck's sake. Some smart-ass project engineer would've come up with a cheaper and dense material by volume than pulling Gojira's bones from the bottom of the ocean.

Return of Godzilla is really good. Just as good if not better than Biollante, but the English dub changes so much it ruins the story and gives the movie a bad rep.
