When this came out, I remember critics commenting on how it was weird that Jonah Hill's character looks like Jonah Hill. None of the other character's were made to look like their voice actor.

You know how superman movies used to bring joy? Every time you hear the iconic theme start, you know that no matter what kind of terrible shit is going down, the Boyscout was about to save the day? A smile would creep on your face as the shimmering red cloak flashed across the screen.
No matter how hard Snyder tries, he will never capture that magic. He doesnt understand what superman is, or what he stands for. He is supposed to be representative of our hopes and dreams, out unending willingness to do good. And Snyder has turned him into a creature of shame, fear and anger.
