Pascal probably had all of that in the early termination clause of her contract.
Nonetheless the reason they're going through with this is because she greenlit it a long time ago. Just like Magnificent 7 and Emoji, they're already on their way down the production line. Stopping the multi million dollar movie factory costs a lot more money. Especially with people who made even more contracts with early termination clauses.
