I dunno, it's hard to make fat people have the charisma needed for main characters. Usually fat men are used in three ways
1) To make us laugh- because fat people are funny because they're sad.
2) To creep us out- because most of us are unattracted to fat people, that makes them creep
3) To make us feel sad- because fat guys are associated with ugliness, sexual impotence, and poor health that should make us feel sad. This is used to a far lesser extent than the other two.
