I get seriously triggered by the "they look just like us" trope wherever I see it. It really screams "low budget excuse" to me. I know Star Trek did it a few times but not as a whole series premise. And even beyond that I really disliked the direction the show went, that blonde short hair chick did nothing for me

It's pretty shit and slow. Plus the book series which it is based on isn't even out yet completely, so enjoy your tv show getting cancelled 3 years from now without resolution.
The only likeable character in the Expanse is that Earth ambassador, palyed by the Iranian actress, with voice like velvet. Now she, I like.
