Post favorite parts and hope we get a good sequel.

There is a sequel.

Your mileage may vary.

In this day and age?
Well, I guess it can't be worse than 2k.
>>
>>68918228
That part is good but isn't the only noteworthy part. The cab driver, stoner alien part/sex robot part,Taarna and I really just appreciate the whole movie honestly.
>>
>>68917967
>This movie is amazing
I guess, the animation is pretty shitty for the most part. What's really interesting is how much of a fuckup Heavy Metal 2000 was in comparison.
>>
>>68918269
I haven't watched 2k, only heard bad things.There's rumors but I'm doubtful
it would happen and only way I watch is if the soundtrack is as good as the original.
>>
>>68918005
>Is Heavy Metal 2000 worth watching?
If only to laugh at how terrible it is. The game isn't half bad, though.
>>
>>68918316
I'm glad you enjoyed the entire thing but I didn't. The majority bored me and the rotoscoping wore off after 20 minutes. If this were released today it'd be edgy, but thankfully it's not. I prefer Bakshi to this anyday.
>>
>>68918368
The stories and setting are amazing but animation doesn't particularly bother me.

>Be at grandparents' place as a kiddo

>They never said anything of it
Shame me. Animations fit nicely with the dark atmosphere & gore... It must've been the reason I went to gore forums in the first place.

Never cared for the music, though. Heavy Metal 2000 is nice for gore too, but the last 3D bit was silly.
>>

>>68918087
I blame this short for getting me into BOC. Well this and that SNL skit...

>>68918211
Viceland is showing a censored version? Isn't that counter to what the channel represents? No wonder no one watches it.

>>68918383
2k failed to live up to the original because it wasn't as solid on the music, and it went for a full length story similar to the ending of the first, but it skirts campy so much that it doesn't hold up for the whole movie. It feels like some younger person who never grasped the point of the concept making a spiritual sequel to the only short they remembered from the original.

The reason I love the original is all the weird stories spliced together with different tones music- and story-wise such that it doesn't collapse under itself. Sure some shorts aren't as good as others, but there's something for everyone and it flows well.

The animations really needed some work, they had like 2 frames per second.

Drive it on up and let's cruise a while
Leave your troubles far behind
You can hedge your bet on a clean Corvette
To get you there right on time
Now if you're ready to dive into overdrive
Baby, the green lights are on
It's like you're running your brain on some high octane
Every time she reaches fully blown

Won't you take that ride on heavy metal?

They ever reprinted the comics? I want to get into them or atleast digital versions.

I just got through watching it on television. It was on the Vice network. I can't believe they showed it. Not surprised that it was censored, but still enjoyable. My only question is why did they use Through Being Cool in the film, but on the soundtrack they used Working in a Coal Mine? Also, does anybody else notice that the version of Mob Rules, by Black Sabbath is different than the one on the Mob Rules album? Don't believe me? Play them both back to back.
>>
>>68919729
I'm going to rewatch it at 4 to see because I've never seen the intro without coal mine.
>>
>>68918099
I don't care if you did get dubs, I highly disagree with you. The whole movie is great. If there's anything bad about it, it's that they could've used a better BOC song. I'm a BOC fan, but I never quite liked Terms of Psychic Warfare.

Heavy Metal 2000 isnt too bad. Its trashy, sure, but thats the point. Its a pulp magazine and a pulp story.

Shame the whole movie license thing has been in development hell since forever. Fincher and Cameron wanted to do another anthology movie adn then Rodriguez got the rights and hasnt done anything with it although he might be the best director choice possible.

1) Who is this semen demon
2) HM2K was utter shit. Unwatchable. It doesn't matter if it's trashy, it matters that the story was dull and generic as fuck.
