Now that the dust has finally settled, can we collectively agree that this was a definitively great, artistic, creative capeshit joint?
I don't get why Penguin gets a bad rap in Batman Returns, I thought he was fucking hilarious and great
also Keaton best Batman
Absolute certified capekino.
Dick Tracy is better in every regard
X2 and Spiderman 2 were better but its the third best capeshit
Those shots of Keaton inside Wayne Manor are some of my fav shots of cinema. He looks just so excellent as Bruce.

Does he get a bad rap? I never even considered that someone wouldn't be impressed with that performance.
this is close to being true batkino
The only thing I don't like about these movies is Batman himself.

tfw gotham is almost capeshitkino but it'll be canceled long before it catches up to the right time period because literally nobody is watching it

>Does he get a bad rap? I never even considered that someone wouldn't be impressed with that performance.
Comic nerds whine he's not canonical.

as a kid I got the weirdest boners from this movie
Always was and always will be better than 1989 Batman

>nobody is watching it
who orders 22 episodes of an hour long show per season and fills it with that many pointless characters and filler material?
>>68903453
yeah danny devito is pretty hot

I loved it except for penguin, he was uninteresting and had too much screen time, it was exhausting to watch. Other than that it's good, especially catwoman, Pfeiffer was terrific.

Both Burton movies were great, I especially love how they tried to reproduce the comic book Gotham
>>68901117
Much like all Tim Burton films, it looks great, has some awesome ideas but drags like hell in the middle. Not bad by any stretch though. Definitely one of the more creative interpretations of the Batman mythos.

Best comic book movie, and a legitimately great film in it's own right.
It's the only Batman movie that gets Batman's character right. It's not a manchild power fantasy, he's a deeply unhappy and emotionally disturbed individual who's ultimately just as unstable as his villains. People say Keaton didn't play a good Bruce Wayne, but that's because he's playing Bruce Wayne as Batman's costumed alter-ego, not the other way around.

It will never get to batman anyway.
If they had the rights to use batman they would have made a batman show from the start
