The Force Awakens not only captures the magic of Star Wars, but is the best adventure film to come out in years. Kylo Ren is genuinely well written, Finn is fairly funny, Rey is cute and will have a good backstory when fleshed out. The dogfighting scenes are fantastic, the sound effects/editing is amazing, the mixture of mainly practical effects with some digital enhancements keeps everything based in reality, and the final lightsaber fight is the best in any movie except maybe ESB duel. People hate on it mainly because it was made to make money, although every movie is made for profit in the end. That doesn't change the fact that it reignited my love for Star Wars.
Also, the moment when Rey force grabs the lightsaber and Binary Sunset starts playing gives me incredible chills every time.
Not a masterpiece by any means- but it's not just heartless, quipping action schlock like Marvel movies- there is love put into it, without a doubt, and that makes it good in my eyes.
