To be fair Degrassi is kind of a big deal in Canada, or at least was. He probably made some good connections through it.
It was a guilty pleasure show for me when I was a teenager. I think they cheaped put in terms of production and adopted a more soap opera-style for the later seasons though. Cassie Steele is hot as fuck. These are the extent of my feelings on Degrassi.
